Students use calorimetry to determine the enthalpy change of a reaction and compare the calculated enthalpy change to their experimental results. A separate Lab Simulation allows students to change variables and test their hypotheses. In addition, students study heat exchange, energy exchange, Hess’s Law and enthalpy using the narrated tutorials. Students can test their understanding of the concepts using the built-in Take-a-Test function.
