Introduce your students to rocks, minerals and fossils through a hands-on classification activity. They'll recreate the field experience by sorting and classifying the included mixture of specially selected specimens—just like in the field. Your students will:
• Identify and classify common rocks, minerals and fossils
• Construct an individual rock, mineral and fossil collection
• Observe the different appearances of rock types as a result of their formation
• Recognize fossil impressions and remains of plants and animals.
