A 3-D study of some of life's most important molecules
Color-coded, plastic model allows your class to simulate the structure of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Students will construct three-dimensional subunits of amino acids, fatty acids and monosaccharides. They'll then link the amino acids to form protein molecules and illustrate their primary, secondary and tertiary structure. Similarly, they'll link fatty acids to represent fats and monosaccharides to model carbohydrates. Includes comprehensive teacher and student guides which overview the structure and function of each of these molecules and their importance in sustaining life. Completely reusable, providing for years of study!
