This kit illustrates the concepts of elements, compounds, and mixtures with special emphasis on creating new compounds in chemical reactions. Students witness evidences of chemical change such as formation of precipitates, color changes, and production of gases.

This kit includes a term sheet, activity sheets permit students to identify the chemical symbols for elements and the chemical formulas, chemical names, and components of common compounds.  The laboratory exercises focus on creating new compounds and the differences between elements, compounds, and mixtures.
