This course covers the basics of electronics assembly and components and the importance of safety in the lab. Students will learn to identify electronic components and see how they are used in electronic circuits. They will also learn about voltage regulators, circuit boards, circuit diagrams and using an analog multimeter.
Lessons Include: Electronic component parts identification, collection and identification of electronic parts, schematic drawings and how to use them, resistors and capacitors, solid state components, diodes, SCRs, transistors and LEDs, manufacturing, selection and pricing of electronic parts, printed circuit boards and how they are used and made, and electronic circuits today
Activities Include: Resistors, LEDs and Seven Segment Displays, Transistors and SCRs, Integrated Circuits, Controlling Current With Voltage and Resistance.
