Using the precipiometric titration technique, students analyze the chloride content of seawater samples from the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, and Gulf of Mexico. Student may also wish to obtain water from a local source for analysis. This kit will offer particular excitement of students in land-locked areas of the United States. Each of the titrations can be repeated 3 times.
